In a horrifying incident on Tuesday morning, a rampaging bull attacked several people in Hardoi district, leaving two dead and nine injured.

The attack, which lasted for nearly four hours, created panic among residents in the Hariyawan police station area.

According to local sources, the bull suddenly appeared around 6 a.m. near Kurseili Tiraaha and began attacking passersby. Eyewitnesses said the animal was extremely aggressive, lifting people on its horns and throwing them to the ground. Many victims were left bleeding and with torn clothes due to the violent assault.

One of the victims, Mazhila Awasthi, a resident of Hariyawan, sustained serious injuries and later died during treatment. Another victim, Ramdayal (60), succumbed to his injuries later in the evening.

Among the injured are Adesh Srivastava, Shyam Lakhan, Nanhe Mishra, and Bablu Mishra, all of whom were rushed to Lucknow for advanced medical care. Srivastava was reportedly left writhing on the road for nearly 15 minutes before receiving help.

The bull continued its rampage toward Utra village, where it attacked Prabhu Gupta, Sitaram Gupta, and Mishri Lal Kahri. In Jatuli village, Ramdayal (60), Suraj (55), and Sumita (18) were also injured.

Local police, forest department teams, and villagers worked together for eight hours to capture the bull. They surrounded it with tractors, pinned it down, and sedated it with an injection. However, the animal died shortly afterward.
